Tawng is originally from Thailand and comes from a Kachin cultural background. She has been living in Coffs Harbour for 11 years. She joined MICO in 2021 and enjoys volunteering for MICO to help her community to access important information from officials. She values MICO because it plays such an essential role for people from diverse cultural backgrounds, ensuring they can receive information in their home language. This helps them understand clearly and share the right information within their communities.
