Yarob was born in Syria but has been Living in Australia for ten years. He speaks Arabic, French, and English. He joined the MICO program because he is passionate about ensuring that the multicultural community has equal access to vital information during emergencies. The MICO program is designed to keep communities informed in the event of natural disaster, such as floods and other emergencies, by providing clear information in multiple languages so people from diverse backgrounds can understand the situation and know what actions to take. Yarob joined as he wanted to help bridge the communication gap and make sure no one is left without important safety information. Since the program began, he has been one of the contributors involved in creating and delivering this essential service.
